About The BodyTalk System TM

Important: The BodyTalk System is not a substitute for allopathic human or veterinary medicine. If you have a health complaint, you should see your physician or have your animal seen by a veterinarian prior to considering BodyTalk sessions. BodyTalk does not diagnose, treat or prescribe for humans or animals.

In BodyTalk, we observe improvement in many clients' health conditions and credit the body's own innate ability to heal. The BodyTalk practitioner “facilitates” the body's natural communication, synchronization and balancing processes which may have been interrupted through disease, injury, trauma and/or environmental factors.

Designed to facilitate energy therapy respectfully and effectively, The BodyTalk System TM combines the best of practices and philosophies from ancient and modern systems including: advanced yoga, advaitic philosophy, modern physics, mathematics, energy dynamics of acupuncture, clinical findings of applied kinesiology and Western medical expertise.

Developed in 1996 by Dr. John Veltheim, BodyTalk is complementary to western and eastern healing systems including allopathic and veterinary medicine. Non-invasive and safe, it will change the way you look at health care…forever.

Basic Principles of the BodyTalk System TM
by Dr. Sandra Davis (printed with permission)

1. The BodyTalk System is a complementary energy therapy modality, which works with all parts of the bodymind of an individual to improve the state of energetic balance within the body, enabling the bodymind to heal itself.

2. The Body has an inborn ability to heal itself at all levels. All parts and systems of the body work together in harmony when the bodymind is healthy. When an individual experiences disease of dysfunction, this results from disruptions in the communication between the various systems of the body. BodyTalk links the various parts and systems together with a variety of environmental, emotional and spiritual factors to re-establish a healthy state of balance in the bodymind.

3. In a BodyTalk session, the BodyTalk practitioner determines: a. The present state of the balance of the body b. How to enhance it c. In what order to address necessary linking.

4. The key factor in maintaining and enhancing health in the body is to re-establish communication between all systems and body parts. In this way, the body can better synchronize its activities, adapt to the stresses of life and heal.

5. An important consideration in the healing process is the specific sequence in which the body is stimulated to further balance and heal its systems and specific body parts of the body. BodyTalk addresses linking by following a specific sequence as indicated by the individual's bodymind.

6. With many of the other modalities, one of the main factors that slow down the healing process is the projection of the bias and agenda of the practitioner onto the client. BodyTalk practitioners neither diagnose nor treat; they simply link various parts and systems of the bodymind with various influencing factors, to achieve a more healthy state of balance for the individual.

7. The practitioner uses neuromuscular feedback to communicate with the bodymind. A tapping process is used on the head (brain) and sternum (energetic heart complex) to facilitate the links and store the memory of the change.
